Best Time to Visit
Each season offers a unique experience.
November - January

The Cool & Classic Season (Peak)

  • Cities: Perfect daytime weather for exploring forts. Expect heavy morning fog during December/January in Delhi/Agra, causing flight and train delays
  • Safaris: Open-jeep mornings are biting cold. Pack a heavy winter jacket, gloves, and a scarf. Great for bird-watching
  • Best for comfortable sightseeing. Book months ahead; prepare for winter transit delays
February - April

The Ultimate Sweet Spot

  • Cities: Warm, dry, and sunny. Excellent for walking tours. March features the vibrant Holi festival
  • Safaris: Best overall balance. As the forest dries out and thins, tiger visibility increases significantly
  • Highly recommended. Ideal weather for both historic palaces and wildlife viewing
May - June

Extreme Summer Adventure

  • Cities: Daytime city sightseeing is not recommended
  • Safaris: Peak viewing season. Tigers must congregate openly around remaining waterholes to survive the heat
July - October

Monsoon & Reopening

  • Cities: High humidity and heavy downpours. Clears crowds and dust, offering cheaper hotel rates
  • Safaris: Core zones completely close 1 July – 30 September for breeding season. Parks reopen 1 October with lush, thick foliage
  • Do not book before October if a safari is on your bucket list
